Is Higher Education Worth The Price?

    Higher education is, as we all know, quite expensive. All of us desire to grow our knowledge and reach new heights, but this luxury comes at a cost. Is a college education worthwhile? Let's look.  Although it comes at a price, higher education prepares us for the real world and helps us prepare for the future. We carry the cost ourselves. The FAFSA helps the majority, however some people don't get as much support because of the enrollment criteria.  leaving us with no choice but to pay the price, and we're all curious as to whether this is the right thing for us to do. Making the decision is tough but worth wild. It's always good to try new things even if you think it isn't for you, you won't find out until you try it for yourself. Having a college degree as a back up plan if everything goes wrong doesn't sound bad at all. 

    Most people spend a lot of money on college in order to pay off debt or just pay their expenses. We also have to pay for books, food, textbooks, and other expenses, which is hard. This includes paying the cost of college. It is even essential to pay for a dorm if you are not from the area.  Living in a dorm increases your tuition costs.  Textbooks are pricey; in order to pass the classes I attend, I had to spend quite a bit of money on books. Whether it's for the cost of meals, transportation, classes, books, or the additional costs, it's something we all have to do. When it looks costly, you can actually earn opportunities like scholarships, financial aid, which can help with paying for college or even give you a full ride. 

     A great second choice that provides lots of learning chances is college. All of these are common, essential skills that we learn in college and are always useful. Connections are important. They may help you make plans for a post-college job and degree earning.  Making connections and having strong communication skills are essential for locating an internship that a college provides. similar to a job interview, but make plans before quitting your course of study. In Kenyon Commencement Speech it mentions education and the importance of liberal arts education. Wallace tells us how education can surpass what we learn and improves our knowledge. Wallace mentions many examples of his main idea and supports everything behind his beliefs. Liberal arts are often overlooked but Kenyon fixes this and explains its goodness.Wallace just tries to raise awareness and make everyone be aware of what's going on in the Kenyon Commencement Speech and show how the main idea is a source we all need. According to "The Ivory Tower '' it brings college problems into life and different forms of College. Community colleges, online, hybrid, in person, and other forms we can mention. There becomes a problem and in the film it shows how it’s handled and the crisis that goes on. The education system also talks about debt and how students feel during college. The film overall talks about college life and its problems. The problem is that the expenses are high but it's worth the price. 

    In conclusion, Higher Education is pricey but still worth the cost. You can't argue the fact that we go to college and spend money for higher education to get a future job. College helps us get our future job with internships and can even help out getting a job during your studies. Making these connections can even strengthen your ways leaving you a higher chance and better opportunities in the short and long run. The pros outweigh the cons.
